OUR HISTORY
We want to pay homage to our founding members, without whom Live the Dream Network (LTDN) would not exist.
LTDN was an outgrowth of the MLK Freedom Train committee ride in 2009. LTDN Founder and President Emeritus, the late Lavell Pennington, started by dedicating his birthday to a White Party that raised funds to give to a worthy student as a scholarship. This gift grew from one student into the network we find here today.
The original board consisted of the late Lavell Pennington, Shelley Floyd, Jr., the late Patrick Brock, Leah Williamson, Rick Robertson, Rasheed Salam, Janice Charles, the late James Charles, Betty Pennington, Virginia Roberts, and Dewayne Sweet, among others.

WHAT WE DO
SCHOLARSHIPS
Mack Floyd Jr’s passion for traditional and non-traditional education is the inspiration for the Mack Floyd Jr Memorial Scholarship Award. He was the recipient of over a dozen degrees, certificates, and licenses in many various trades! In order to know where we are going, we must remember where we came from.
